Does PBS Idea Channel Capitalize on Click-Bait Video Titles?
When content titles are phrased in a question, the answer is always yes. It’s a cheap ploy for views. Most of PBS Idea Channel’s videos succeed from a click-baitey title combining two ideas in a curious fashion. I do not begrudge them success, question titles are common currency on the internet, and I get how it’s an effective means of provoking thought. But it’s grating nonetheless.
